QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR POTENTIAL STUDENTS

What are the monthly costs in London?
The main costs that each student would have in England are those for accommodation, transport and food. They vary with the way of life, but as a total average monthly cost per month we would advise you to prepare between £ 800-1000.

The ability to work while you study is certainly positive because the college program is designed to allow students to work full-time and still be able to attend lectures and prepare well.

Cost of rent?
The cost of rent will depend on where you are in London and whether you will live alone or share your home with someone. Here are the average rental rates according to the location of the accommodation:

East London - about 650-750 pounds per month if you live alone in a one-room apartment and between 290 and 390 pounds a month if you share the apartment with a roommate.

West London - between 700 and 800 pounds per month for private accommodation and about 280-430 pounds for shared.

North London - the situation here is similar to accommodation in the eastern part of the city. You will have to pay between 650 and 750 pounds for a single home and 300 to 400 pounds for sharing.

South London - the rooms in this part of the city are a bit cheaper than the rest. For private accommodation, you will give about 600-700 pounds a month, and for a share of 280 to 500 pounds per month.

Keep in mind that when you find accommodation, you will probably want a deposit and a prepay rent, which will be your biggest expense at the beginning - it can reach 1000 pounds or more, depending on the rental of the dwelling.
 Information

Food costs?
The cost of food will again depend on how and how often you eat. On average a week, you will give about 60 pounds for a supermarket market.
A pub's meal may cost you between 6 and 10 pounds, while in a relatively inexpensive restaurant around 12-20 pounds. For a beer mug, prepare between £ 2.50 and £ 3, and a bottle of wine will be about 10 pounds if the wine is not special. If you decide to invite someone to dinner at a regular restaurant, you will pay around 40 pounds.
 Information

Transport costs?
Transport costs depend on where you live and where your work and college will be. Transport in the UK is paid at a distance - for example, the cost of a bus ticket depends on where you are traveling.

It is cheaper to take advantage of London city transport; taxis and other private transport are more expensive. If you travel every day, you will have to make a travel card for a week, a month or for what period of time you think it suits you.

Keep in mind that the price of the card and the tickets for public transport depend on the areas you are traveling in, so in some areas you will be cheaper, in others - more expensive. However, to get your bills out, here you can predict roughly around 100-150 pounds per month for a trip. Students benefit from a reduction in transport, which is about 30% of the weekly travel card price.
 Information

Entertainment costs?
Entertainment costs again depend on how often you plan to relax. A cinema walk will cost you between 7 and 10 pounds, and in the theater - from 25 up. In order to enter a club or pub you will pay between 5 and 20 pounds, you will have to include separately in bills and consumption.

Going to a live music venue will pay 10 pounds up for entrance, and for concerts the prices are much higher. The pleasure of buying a disc with your favorite artist's new album will cost you between 8 and 12 pounds, and if you want to get a new movie rental, you'll pay around 3.50.
 Information

Basic household expenses?
The main household costs are for electricity, gas, water. Plus, add the internet and the mobile phone, as there is hardly anyone to use them nowadays. It is good to pick up the mobile phone you have also used in Bulgaria so you do not give up any extra money for a new one once you arrive.

Here you will only need to get a card, at least in the beginning it is better to get a prepaid, that is, of a voucher. Make some money for subsequent charging on the map so you can talk to your prospective employers.
 Information

Other extra costs?
Other costs that you need to consider are those for clothing, medicines, paid services, and necessarily set aside some other unforeseen costs.

Remember that if you have not found accommodation in advance, you must include in your accounts also the cost of accommodation in a hotel or motel. At best, you will pay about 11 pounds per night. The other option is to stay familiar, so you will save some money.

What are the HND and Top-up programs?
HND means a National Higher Education Diploma. It represents a two-year training which, with great success, entitles you to enroll in a third degree course, which is actually a top-up course of study.

Upon completion of the Top-up course, students receive a Level 6 qualification equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. HND courses to be funded are full-time or 21 hours a week. Students usually go to college two days a week.

Is student funding a reality?
Is it real the chance for each student to receive personal funding of 10000-16000 pounds per year for each year of the training period?

Any citizen of the European Union can apply for funding for the college fee. EU citizens who have resided in the UK for five consecutive years prior to the start of the course - can apply for both training and personal finance. Personal funding is for each of the years of training.

The amount depends on and is determined on the basis of the marital status and income of the applicant. The amount of the unpaid student as a personal grant per year is about 10 000 pounds. When the candidate has family and children, the amount is higher.

Student Finance England pays the student the amount of personal financing on a personal bank account in three installments, according to the start of the semesters. The college fee is paid directly to the college account. Apart from the personal funding that each candidate receives, he can benefit from a 30% reduction in transport, the canal tax, and other student privileges.
 Information

Is this a loan or a grant?
After some changes introduced by Student Finance, almost the entire amount of personal finance and college tuition is in the form of a student loan and a small part of the money is free of charge. However, the loan will only begin when the student finishes and starts to earn more than 21,000 pounds a year.

If his income is under 21,000 pounds, the loan is not paid. The period of the loan is 30 years. There is additional help for single parents as well as the possibility of paying part of the cost of kindergarten if the student can prove that his child is going to a garden registered in Ofsted.

If you leave the UK, your contributions will be determined by the revenue in your country of residence.
 Information

What are the conditions for applying and what criteria should candidates qualify?
Is there an age restriction?
A basic requirement for all colleges is that candidates have a secondary education diploma and fluency in English. The English level should be good enough for candidates to have a conversation, write, and read.

Most colleges do not require a language proficiency certificate, but they themselves prepare and conduct their own internal tests and interviews. Some colleges prefer and require a B2 certificate.

There is no age limit for a loan that covers the semester fees. But for a maintenance loan, applicants must be under 60 years of age.

Will BREXIT affect student Funding?
Whatever the BREXIT conditions when announced by Theresa May, all already enrolled students will take advantage of their position, ie BREXIT will not negatively affect them.

No one at this stage can clearly state exactly what the new rules will be after the real exit from the UK by the UK. During this interim period, the opportunity to benefit from training and funding is absolutely real.

The severity of these diplomas in the eyes of the British employer
The diploma of completed education or qualification is a necessary condition for starting work. The severity of these diplomas is measured by covering the conditions of employers requiring certain qualifications to start work.

The real burden, however, is determined by the candidates' personal qualities, what they can do, and what experience they have. Certainly the qualifications that students receive in different educational institutions are of varying weight in the eyes of employers.

I would definitely recommend to everyone to take advantage of the already established positive image of the London School of Business and Management, who for years worked in partnership with Northampton University and Anglia Ruskin University.

The quality of the training has been proven, the conditions for conducting lectures and exercises are some of the best in London, the libraries have a rich set of literature necessary for the development of each student.
